It was normally said after a massive event, to look back and learn from the mistakes. But in the case of Ayodhya, we have looked back several times, but the basic question was never answered. The question was “ In a Hindu land, why it becomes such a struggle to build a Hindu temple ?”. Have we ever heard of such struggles in the lands of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and Confucius when they build Churches, Mosques, Viharas and Shrines?

Because of the soft minds of Hindus, which always felt obligated to other religious sentiments, India could not carry out measures which were good for Hindus. Hindus’ backbone and the ‘shining minds’ were given a jolt by Muslims and Christians invasion between 43rd  and 50th century KY (Kali Yuga) which was 13th to 20th century CE. The invasion by Muslims and Christians affected north of Bharat much more than south. The destructive mentality of Muslims and stealing minds of Christians left the entire Bharat and its’ cultural monuments , especially temples in shambles.

Bharat is a ‘sthalam’ of various ‘avataraas’ of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva  and Goddess Durga. Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Narasimha and Lord Buddha were few of the ‘avatara purushas’. Temples and monuments were built all over Bharat  for the Lords, Goddesses and ‘Avatara Purushas’ to inculcate and imbibe the virtues of prayer and various rituals were performed to bring peace and prosperity to the Hindu community.

In south of Bharat, most of the damages caused to temples and monuments like Srirangam Ranganathar, Madhurai Meenakshi Amman were rectified, renovated and opened to Hindu public by the then Hindu rulers over a period. But extensive damages and destruction caused to temples and monuments in north of Bharat were not attended to till our country got independence. During this period many mosques and churches were built by these foreigners which remained intact, even though they were (and are) alien to Hindu culture and character.

Time has come now to identify and recognise  our Hindu monuments and temples which were damaged and destroyed during the period of Muslims and Christians domination and all efforts made to recover, rectify and reopen such monuments and temples to Hindu public. This will declare to the world the ancient Hindu civilization in its’ true colour and glory.
